Our Process

Our passion is creating inspired invitations and announcements that give a sense of time and place unique to your particular occasion. During our initial consultation we try to get a sense of your unique design style and inspiration. You will be involved in the design process as much or as little as you like. If you have a clear idea of what you want but just need help transforming those ideas into tangible pieces, we will work with you to ensure your vision becomes a reality. If you’re not sure about what you want, we will use your inspirations to create a custom piece that is sure to satisfy.

Based on our initial consultation and follow-ups, we proceed to the pre-production stage. Once we receive your initial deposit and signed contract, samples will be fabricated based on the design concept discussed. Depending on the design and your particular needs, the proofing process may include digital mock-ups, physical mock-ups, or both. Elements of this concept design can be modified to ensure the final design will be the perfect invitation or announcement for your unique occasion. Once all alterations or modifications to the prototype are made and you have approved the final concept, final payment is due and we proceed to production and printing.

Production times vary depending on design complexity, materials used, and our current schedule. The design process from start to finish usually takes between four and six weeks and production usually takes between four and eight weeks. Although rush orders can be accommodated, in an effort to ensure you receive all the attention you deserve, and to be sure we create a design you are completely satisfied with, we recommend you begin the process four to six months before you plan to mail your invitations.

The reality is that most people, even without any background in design, can do a brilliant job creating the perfect DIY wedding invitation.   • What is the price for an invitation set?

    Our invitations are all handcrafted and custom designed to suit our client’s individual style, vision, and budget. Invitation sets start from $5.50 per invitation to $16.50 per invitation. Custom silk invitations start at $15.00 per invitation. Contact us for more information.

  • Can I purchase plain silk boxes or portfolios from you and make my own invitations?

    Absolutely! We have a healthy business with professional designers around the country creating silk, velvet, satin, and leather foundations (boxes, folios, panels, etc.) for use in their couture stationery products. We’d be happy to help you with your DIY project as well!

  • What is included in the invitation package?

    At a minimum, invitation suites include a custom invitation, a matching response card, addressed response envelope, return address printed mailer or envelope. Additional enclosure cards and services (stamping and addressing, assembly and packaging, etc.) are included in your initial quote if requested.

  • How long will it take me to receive my invitations?

    Custom invitations generally take between 2-3 months from initial concept stage to delivery. We can often accommodate rush orders for an additional fee. We suggest starting the process 4-5 months before you plan to mail your invitations.
